September 2013 Cineplex Family Favourites




Cineplex Family Favourites are back on Saturday mornings at 11:00AM. Watch a family favourite film each week for only $2.50. A portion of proceeds go towards supporting Starlight Children's Foundation. It's a fun and affordable way to enjoy the weekend with your family!

Here's the line-up for September 2013:

Megamind
Starring: Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Tina Fey
Directed By: Tom McGrath
Synopsis: The supervillain Megamind finally defeats his nemesis, the superhero Metro Man. But without a hero, he loses all purpose and must find new meaning to his life.

School of Rock
Starring: Jack Black, Adam Pascal, Mike White
Directed By: Richard Linklater
Synopsis: Fired from his band, rock guitarist and vocalist Dewey Finn (Black) takes a job as a 4th grade substitute teacher at an uptight private school where his free livin' lifestyle, attitude, music, and antics soon influences the students to explore other sides of themselves the school doesn't encourage. Finn's real goal in taking the job is to recruit a 9-year-old guitar prodigy, Yuki, to become the lead guitarist in a band that would be able to win a "battle of bands," solving Finn's money problems and re-establishing him as a respected rocker.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

Synopsis: On a shopping trip, four young women find a pair of thrift-shop jeans that fits each of them perfectly and they decide to use these pants as a way of keeping in touch over the months ahead, each one wearing the jeans for a week to see what luck they bring her before sending them on to the next. Though miles apart, the four friends still experience life, love, and loss together in a Summer they'll never forget.
