September actually brings many of our favourite free and cheap events and festivals for families, such as the Taste of the Kingsway, Vegetarian Food Festival, Roncesvalles Polish Festival, WindFest, Culture Days, and much more!

Canadian International Air Show

Canadian International Air Show
August 31 to September 2, 2013
The 64th annual Canadian International Air Show (CIAS) soars over Lake Ontario Labour Day weekend for another awe-inspiring show. The 2013 display will feature amazing aerobatics and delight fans of all ages! Both the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and acrobatic daredevil Mike Wiskus are back with their spine tingling stunts!

Brazilian Day Canada 2013
September 2, 2013 - 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm

Brazilian Day Canada is proud to hold its 5th edition in Nathan Phillips Square. Local artists, various artworks, and Brazilian foods will involve everybody in the spirit of being Brazilian.

The Taste of the Kingsway

15th Annual Taste of the Kingsway Festival
September 6 to 8, 2013

Come celebrate and experience fun, food, and music! This Fall Festival features 2 grand stages with non-stop entertainment, a culinary market/theatre featuring celebrity chefs, midway rides, the biggest dog show in Etobicoke, artisan and crafter pavilions, clowns, face painters, auto show, charity pancake breakfast in support of Out of the Cold, and so much more!

Vegetarian Food Festival

Regarded as the largest event of its kind in North America, the Vegetarian Food Festival taking place at the Harbourfront Centre gives audiences an unparalleled opportunity to enjoy a diverse cross-section of vegetarian cuisine and shop from over 100 vendors.

Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle

Cabbagetown Festival of the Arts

The 37th Annual Festival is happening again... in Cabbagetown. This street and arts festival runs for two days along Parliament and Carlton Streets. At the same time, is the Cabbagetown Arts & Crafts Fest in Riverdale park and the neighbourhood-wide garage and lawn sales!

Markham-Milliken Children's Festival

RBC Markham-Milliken Children's Festival

This year, the RBC Markham-Milliken Children's Festival is celebrating its 15th year in the heart of Markham at the Civic Centre! It is Ontario's largest annual children's festival that features a wide variety of entertainment, play zones, crafts and other outdoor activities for children aged two to twelve.

The Word on the Street

The Word On The Street is a free festival that celebrates the written word and champions literacy through an annual outdoor book and magazine fair. Each year, we turn Queen's Park Circle into a book and magazine lover's paradise by showcasing Canada's hottest new books and authors, as well as the best Canadian magazines!

Culture Days
September 27 to 29, 2013

The fourth annual Culture Days weekend will take place September 27, 28 and 29, 2013, and will feature thousands of free, hands-on, interactive activities that invite the public to participate “behind-the-scenes,” to discover the world of artists, creators, historians, architects, curators, designers, and other creative people in their communities.
