Spirits Haunt The Streets of Bowmanville

For more than 200 years the people of Bowmanville have been unknowingly building a repertoire of scary local stories, each one filled with enough mystery and intrigue to confuse and shock even the keenest minds. Walking tour takes place through downtown Bowmanville, Starting from the Bowmanville Museum at 37 Silver Street! Rain or Shine. Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night in October from 7pm to 9pm.
Camp Spooky at Canada's Wonderland

Enjoy a boo-rific Halloween event just for families this fall at Camp Spooky! Canada's Wonderland is not all scary in the fall. Our Camp Spooky events on Saturdays and Sundays in October from 10:00am to 5:00pm (extended operating hours on Sunday, October 4 10:00am to 8:00pm) are geared towards children and families. Your favourite rides are also open during the day, including attractions in Planet Snoopy and KidZville!

Tales of intrigue, betrayal, and revenge abound on this scavenger hunt after dark through Toronto's most haunted places... Bring a flashlight and a steady nerve as you uncover some of prim Toronto’s grisly past. On an Urban Capers Scavenger Hunt, you don't collect items, but rather answers to tricky and humourous questions. Teams of two to six compete over the course of two hours. This hunt is designed for adults, but children as young as 10 have participated.
Pumpkinville! Free Event!

Located at 13629 Guelph Line in Milton, Ontario the Halton County Radial Railway (HCRR) is a full-size operating electric railway and museum, featuring historic electric railcars operating on two kilometers of scenic track. The HCRR is owned and operated by the Ontario Electric Railway Historical Association (OERHA), a non-profit, educational organization. The HCRR is proud to be Ontario's first and largest electric railway museum.

Family Halloween Train Rides

Each year, the Greater Toronto Area’s only tourist railway runs its very popular family Halloween Trains. On board the decorated trains are ghosts, ghouls, and other entertainment for young and old alike. Trains operate from the Uxbridge and Stouffville stations and have lots of Halloween activities.
City of the Dead: The Necropolis Cemetery Tour at Mackenzie House

A drama-enhanced walk in one of Toronto's oldest and most historic cemeteries. Highlights include the graves of Mackenzie and other prominent figures. Hear stories of murder, heartbreak and great perseverance. After the walk, participants are invited to return to Mackenzie House for a tour and some light refreshments. Not recommended for children under 8 years of age.

Haunted High Park

Visit the grounds of High Park in the dark and discover the chilling legends and ghost stories that have been spooking visitors for decades. Annual Pumpkin Bee at Clarke Museum

In the 1800′s settlers would gather in Kirby, Ontario for a Pumpkin Bee. It was a day to celebrate the pumpkin, which was a food staple for the pioneer. Slices of pumpkin would be hung to dry for the long winter a head and families would gather to play games, showcase their baking skills and celebrate the pumpkin. At Clarington Museums, we continue this tradition in our own way! Come down to the Clarke Museum October 24th from 12- 4 and pick your own pumpkin from our local pumpkin patch to paint! Warm up in the schoolhouse where crafts, face painting and hot apple cider await you! Participate in traditional games and enter our costume contest!
Marsh Monster at Wye Marsh

Wye Marsh will be taken over by zombies, ghouls and monsters October 24th for the annual Halloween Marsh Monster event. This popular event takes a unique spin on the typical haunted attraction by taking visitors on a guided mystery tour through the Wye Marsh trails. The mystery tour begins as a normal guided walk in the woods that quickly turns into a spooky adventure that involves solving the Marsh Monster Mystery. Staff like to describe it as being 'like an interactive spooky scooby doo mystery story with an environmental message ... and zombies of course'.
Spirit Walk at Mackenzie House

Let your imagination take over as we lead you through downtown alleys and laneways to discover some of Toronto’s reputedly haunted buildings. Return to gas-lit historic Mackenzie House, and soothe your goosebumps with mulled cider and biscuits as you hear about the ghost stories associated with the house! Halloween Hoot and Boo Barn at Riverdale Farm

Old Town Toronto Halloween Pumpkin Parade

The pumpkins are returning to St. James Park in Old Town Toronto. On November 1st, bring your jack-o-lantern to the St. James gazebo from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and join the pumpkin parade by adding your pumpkin onto the edge of a pathway. A prize will be given for best pumpkin design by a family/kid and by a business. There will be free hot chocolate and hot apple cider while supplies last and a special Halloween storytime in the gazebo courtesy of the St. Lawrence Branch of the Toronto Public Library. Free.
