The Clay Room is an interactive ceramics store where customers of all ages use the ground-level space as their studio. You can spend time with family while using your imagination and unleashing your artistic skills. This unique creative learning centre that has been operating since November 1995. The distinctive interior and helpful staff will set you at ease to create your masterpiece. You can walk-in at any time - no appointment necessary. What you make is ideal for gift-giving - you can also create baby footprints keepsakes.
Ceramic pieces range in price from $4 to $45 (the largest piece in the store). Customers are charged a flat rate studio fee based on the size of the piece. This allows you to take the time you need to paint without feeling rushed. This studio fee includes everything you need - paints, brushes, aprons, work area, sponge shapes & letters, stencils, tools for techniques, and reference materials. Helpful staff will assist with ideas and techniques.
The Clay Room also offer Birthday Parties for kids and adults. For kids, you can choose between Paintable Ceramics or Clay Making parties. Paintable Ceramics Parties are geared towards children 5 years and up and several different paint-it-yourself ceramic party packages are available. Clay Making parties are for kids 7 years and older. At this party, kids actually build their own piece out of clay and then paint it! A private party room comfortably accommodates up to twenty-five children. The party room is brightly painted making it fun for all ages. The painted pieces are fired in on-site kilns and individually gift wrapped. They are ready for pick up about a week and a half after the party.
And if you're looking to keep the kids busy during school breaks, you can sign them up for March Break or Summer Camps.
