Experience the Meadoway

It's going to become one of Canada’s largest linear urban parks!

The Meadoway is a project that is transforming a Toronto hydro corridor into a vibrant 16 kilometre stretch of urban greenspace and meadowlands, and will become one of Canada’s largest linear urban parks. This community-powered greenspace stretches from downtown Toronto to Rouge National Urban Park.

On September 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m, there's a free community event taking place in the Benshire Dr and Gatineau Hydro Corridor, one of the completed sections of the future park. 'Experience the Meadoway' will give visitors the opportunity to enjoy family-friendly activities such as nature hikes, bike tours, meadow plantings, live bird demonstrations, educational and interactive displays, a kids scavenger hunt and more. Get acquainted with what The Meadoway has to offer and see the future potential of this new greenspace!
