Indoor ice skating is a fun way to take part in a winter activity without braving the elements. Fortunately, there are many indoor rinks throughout the city. Many of these rinks offer public skate sessions, but also offer skating lessons, hockey, birthday parties, and more.

Ajax
The Town of Ajax offers skating programs from public skate to shinny. There is something for everyone. 2 indoor rinks are available and programs run until March 25, 2018. Public skating is open for all ages. More

Aurora
The Town of Aurora offers public recreational skating and shinny hockey at various times throughout the week. All times are scheduled at the Stronach Aurora Recreation Complex, located at 1400 Wellington St. East. Public skating is offered until March 31, 2018. More

Brampton
The city of Brampton offers public skating for participants of all ages and skating abilities. There are 9 Community Centres with arenas. Visit website for schedules. More

Burlington
All ages are welcome. Recreational skating is a great way to socialize and skate with family and friends. This skate is on Pad 1 at Appleby Ice Centre. Recreational skating is available until March 31, 2018. More

Markham
The city of Markham has 8 Recreation Centres with arenas. Drop-in recreation ice skating is offered for all ages and abilities, on a pay as you go basis. More

Mississauga
The City of Mississauga offers ice time for a number of skating activities across 12 arenas and 24 indoor rinks. Skating is available until March 18, 2018, depending on the arena. More

Newmarket
The town of Newmarket offers many public ice programs. Magna Centre features four ice surfaces including an Olympic size rink and the Ray Twinney Recreation Complex features two ice surfaces. More

Oakville
Oakville has 6 Recreation Centres will indoor arenas. Visit their website for a schedule of drop-in recreational skating. Skating is available until April 8, 2018 depending on the arena. More

Oshawa
The City of Oshawa offers leisure skates including stick and puck and shinny for all ages and abilities. 3 Recreation Centres are available with indoor arenas. More

Pickering
The Town of Pickering has 2 Recreation Centres with indoor arenas. Check website for public skating schedules. More

Richmond Hill
The town of Richmond Hill offers a number of indoor skating opportunities open to all ages and skating abilities. Indoor skating programs include Skating Programs and Pickup Shinny. Schedules for recreational skating are posted weekly. More

Toronto
The city of Toronto offers recreational skating at many rinks throughout the city. Leisure Skate programs operate from October through March and you can contact your local arena for more details. Use the drop-in programs map to find indoor rinks with drop-in schedule close to you. More

Whitby
‚ÄčThe Town of Whitby offers skating programs for all ages and abilities. Skating schedules are available for the Des Newman Arena Complex at Iroquois Park Sports Centre, McKinney Centre, and Luther Vipond Memorial Arena. Schedules are posted weekly. More
