The Maker Bean Café located at 1052 Bloor Street West in Toronto is a great family destination! The Maker Bean is not only a fun space where guests can delight in great drinks and food in a warm, welcoming environment but it’s also all about letting your imaginations soar by designing and making things together!

The Menu

While the Maker Bean Café features a long list of menu items, popular foods include:

Raspberry croissants ― the best selling item!

All coffee drinks, using locally fresh-roasted Propeller Coffee Co. beans: lattes, cappuccinos, Americanos, etc.

Pressed sandwiches and salads from local bakeries and other food service providers are available.

There are lots of options for the kiddos: fresh juices, apple cider, smoothies, milk steamers, and hot chocolate.

What's in it for the kids

While enjoying your café foods and drinks, there are plenty of kid-themed activities that you can register for to keep them busy including making laser cutting coasters, earrings, necklaces, and other items from a wide variety of designs. 3D printing activities allow you to browse millions of 3D models and they'll 3D print it for you. Sign up for workshops offered on many topics, including Intro to Laser Cutting, Intro to 3D Printing, Chocolate Making, etc. Targeted at participants aged 12 and up, these activities might just be of interest for parents with older kids. For kids not into ‘making stuff’, there are plenty of kids’ books, puzzles and games to share.

Other offerings ― Kids' camps

During the year, the Maker Bean Café offers ongoing programming with weekly Kids Tech Camps. Aimed at kids 6-12, these camps ensure a safe environment for your child to learn and make new friends ― perfect for PA Days, and seasonally, to keep kids engaged and learning during school breaks (summer, winter and March Break.)

Safety measures during COVID

The Café is fully open for take out food orders, as well as online ordering through UberEats, Doordash and Ritual. Kids activities are continuing with precautions in place, including temperature screens, regular sanitizing of all equipment, masks required for kids and facilitators, and social distancing is in place.

The Maker Bean Café is located in Toronto on Bloor Street just east of Dufferin St. For families' convenience, there’s a main floor rest room with a baby change table.
